Neu Appliances specializes in refurbishing quality appliances. Our refurbishing process has been meticulously refined to provide the highest caliber products. The process has 5 separate stages, each with their own set of inspections and requirements, with a singular goal of providing our customers with the highest quality refurbished appliances on the market.
Stage 1: Qualifying
Prior to refurbishing, each appliance must meet our in-house requirements controlled by our Qualifying Team. To start, they pick machines that were originally a good product, and are in fair cosmetic condition, to queue at our warehouse. Appliances that have design flaws, or have been previously deemed “unsatisfactory,” do not qualify for the next stage: Refurbishing.
Stage 2: Refurbishing
Once an appliance qualifies for refurbishment it moves to our Refurbishing Team. Our Refurbishing Team breaks down each machine, guided by a strict Refurbishing Checklist, where the mechanical parts are inspected. Any maintenance required is also completed in this stage to ensure the appliance performs to its original operational workings. Maintenance may include replacing parts, adding grease to pulleys and wheels, cleaning refrigerator condenser coils, and anything else that will bring the machine back to life. Each appliance must "pass" this checklist before moving on to the next stage: Testing.
Stage 3: Testing
After an appliance has been refurbished it passed along to our Testing Team. Each testing station has been outfitted to mimic the connections and utilities required to operate the appliances under normal manufacturer specifications. Water valves, electrical outlets, and gas lines mirror those of a standard household. Just like refurbishing, each appliance has its own Testing Checklist that it must "pass" before advancing. Our techs first make sure washers and dryers complete their respective cycles within correct time frames. Concurrently, they monitor refrigerator temperatures, stove temperatures, and even supervise the fridge’s ice makers to ensure they produce the right sized ice at the correct speed. Our testing process allows us to control and adjust 99% of variables mirrored in most households allowing us to highlight complete, working machines ready for the next stage: Make Ready.
Stage 4: Make Ready
Now that a machine has passed both the refurbishing and testing process, our Make Ready Team thoroughly cleans the appliances to make them shine. Each style of appliance has their own Make Ready Checklist that includes detailing and sanitation practices that give our customers the cleanest and best looking used appliances.
Stage 5: Quality Check
The final stop on our refurbishing conveyor belt is our Quality Check Team. QC reviews the work done to the machines to ensure completion accuracy. They make sure the machines were refurbished correctly, tested appropriately, and cleaned thoroughly. Our processing center is like a school: We accept the ones that have a good grade!
